S + D Spezialstahl (S+D Special Steel Trading Company Ltd.) was founded in 1997 as a pure metal trading company and since this time is dealing in titanium, nickel and special materials.
We are particularly supplying the aviation and aerospace industry and its suppliers. Moreover, we have a broad customer base from most different industrial sectors.
In the year 2000, we have started to trade in packaging films and other plastic products for recycling in order to expand our activities.
At first, handling was conducted externally by our contractors.
In order to meet the requirements of this fast-growing sector, we relocated our company from Hamburg to Stelle/Ashausen.
Since then, we do not only possess large-scale storage areas, but furthermore dispose of excellent sorting and handling possibilities under our own direction.
Meanwhile, we annually supply more than 25,000 tons of plastic films to material recycling.
Because of a broad diversification, we have excellent marketing opportunities for almost all common plastic film qualities for polyethylene and many more plastics.
The largest part of our plastic films are delivered directly to German and European recycling companies for regranulate production. The regranulates are used e.g. for the production of waste bags, construction foils and agrofoils.
The constantly growing demand on recycling plastics in the Far East is, next to our local customers, our second important and large sales market. Not only the vicinity to the Hamburg harbour, but particularly our own quality assurance make us a reliable supplier of high quality plastics for our partners in Hong Kong and China.
Almost daily, containers filled with most different qualities leave our storage in Stelle/Ashausen for the Far East.
